The Biased Anime Blog

My Top Anime

It's finally the time where I start saying random biased things about anime and y'all can't do anything about it :D (please don't hurt me). I present to you, my top 3 anime (that I have watched so far).

1st Place: Chainsaw Man

Don't even get me started on Chainsaw Man. I absolutely love the anime as it portrays someone with very honest but odd goals and will do anything to get what they want. The show is about this guy named Denji who used to live in the absolute worst living conditions with a devil he named Pochita. He then gets jumped and practically dies. All of a sudden, he turns into a devil-human hybrid, being able to turn into the chainsaw devil by pulling the string in his chest. He becomes part of a nation that does kill demons and meets his "mommy" named Makima. Now I am not gonna lie, she seems rather like the dominant type. Anyways, he gets teamed up with a squad to go kill devils. Sadly, there are like only a few of tehm left already. Anyway, I think the anime is going to go a long way and I do wish they have a season 2 coming out soon. I normally would stop watching a show after season 1 but this anime is one of the few shows that I am hoping for a season 2. I am not looking for any spoilers what so ever so please do not go dming me about anything that is related to the show. My favorite parts about the show is the Denji and Power duo. The 2 have quite a bit in common and their stupidity kind of makes this them one of the best duos I have seen. To me, I think the show is a 10/10 so far.

2nd Place: Tokyo Ghoul

You can kind of see a pattern in my list of anime... I like to watch a mix of certain types of anime such as action and drama. To go into more, I normally like gore.. Sorry, I am going off topic here, let's talk about why this is second place. Tokyo was one of the first anime I watched back during quarantine and really loved it with the mix of drama and action that it held. If you aren't familiar with it, I'm going to give you the rundown (Yes, I am going to do this for the others to help tell those what it is about). The anime is about a regular college student named Ken Kaneki who was living his normal life until he encounters a woman who is a ghoul. A ghoul is a person who seeks humans as a food source. He then survives while the ghoul dies from falling pipes. He then gets organ transplants and his life has not been the same since, due to his organ donor to be the woman, making him into a half-ghoul. He then becomes part of a small organization called Anteiku, a small coffee shop that is ran by ghouls who want to coexist with humans. One organization however, comes in their way which consists of humans that wield weapons that used to be part of ghouls. Then he goes through an entire emo phase, turingn into the Aogiri Tree. Stuff goes by and then he saves the Japan or something. The show overall was a huge success, giving fans a new anime to add to their favorites and I am no exception. I love the fight scenes and how the story is aligned. However, there is still some things missing in the anime that is in the manga so I may go back to the manga and read it to see what I missed. Idk, I am really busy. Anyways, the characters have a lot of background behind them and it is really interesting one you become dedicated to watching it for yourself. Overall, I will give this anime a 9.8/10. Almost perfect, but one season felt a bit bland.

3rd Place: Ms. Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

I am most likely going to get a bunch of weird looks when they see this as 3rd place. I could've added like, Jujitsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Spy X Family, but no, I have this. Now before I get bombarded with dms, hear me out. The show is really good and has a very good timeline with it as well. I wouldn't really 100% care if there are some non-family friendly things happening on screen if it has a good story to it. I honestly think of the show as a balance. With it's drama and some fight scenes, it really balances it out with the "you know what". Again, I will add a abridge version of it so you can get the gist of it. The show is based on a middle-aged woman named Kobayashi (don't ask me where the first name is, it wasn't listed). Her boring life changed when a new face shows up named Tohru, a dragon. She dedicated herself into being a maid, while Kobayashi tries to make her fit into the human realm. Later on, more of Tohru's friends/foes show up to the realm and some decide to live in this new world. Kobayashi however, starts to grow a mutual relationship with them and accept them into their life. I think tha the anime itself was a really good and dramatic show because it shows what it feels like trying to fit into a new world. Overall, I think of the anime with a 9.5/10.
